What a week it's been

Monday and Tuesday last week, got a lot of miles in, Tuesday night tornado warnings all night didn't sleep for anything, Wednesday a bit better, walked a lot, was offered a meal and place to sleep for the night. With Carolyn and Doug Gallagher , so nice of them, stayed up to late talking, had trouble sleeping in a strange home, then got up early Thursday morning so they could get to work, it was pouring rain, they said showers, but it poured all day, a nasty sloggy day. Earlier in the week the my carts front wheel had started with a wobble, Friday when I got to town, I went to a bike shop...they aren't dealers of the cart, and would have to order the part. Which would get there Monday (today) in the mean time, talking to the shop owner, he recently opened for business and asked if he could give me a bike with hitch to tow my cart, in exchange for me doing a promo ad.  I hadn't thought of biking rather than walking, but after thinking about it and talking to my daughter, I think there could be some advantages, one of which is being able to see some of the things that might be a bit out of the way, and I wouldnt have made the effort to walk to, of course I'll make better time in getting back...I'm not in a rush to return quickly but I do realize there's a good amount of people who have gone out of their way to indulge me in my dream, and have worried about me more than I've worried about myself... This past Saturday I did a nice photo shoot, they where so very kind to me, for the bike, for the effort made, hopefully some good will come to Brendan and his bike shop.  Today I had plan to get the part from fed-x and be on my way.....however...things don't always go the way you want....I came back from the bike shop to see 5 storm chasing vehicles from various news groups staged in the parking lot of the hotel I was staying at. I spoke to the men with the group, they said the storms where severe and close by, after looking at the weather on tv and on line it is clear there's a big risk of tornados for the next 2 days..so I'm staying put at the hotel until Wed. Morning, at least, if all is good I'm heading out, on the bike with the cart everything I have and Miles.......  Here's a few pictures of the home I stayed at, the weather, the tornado chasers, the vehicles are amazing, the doors are 10" thick, and the whole vehicle is solid steel, with enough seat belts to hold you in place in the wildest of rides.  The dark orange in the radar is near where I am.
